Manchester City striker Erling Haaland has been named Premier League (PL) Player of the Month (POTM) award for April.
The 22-year-old won the accolade after scoring six goals and providing two assists in the month of April.
Haaland also reacted after winning PL POTM for April.
"I'm really happy to win this for the second time this season. I'm grateful to everyone who voted for me. We're in such a vital part of the season and winning all of our Premier League games throughout April was important," said the Norwegian striker.
"I'm delighted to have helped the team by scoring goals and we just need to keep going until the end. Breaking the record for most goals scored in a #PL season is something I'm really proud of," he continued.
"But none of it would have been possible without all of my team-mates, the coaches and staff behind the scenes. Hopefully, we can continue our strong form until the end of the season so we can make our fans happy," the 22-year-old concluded.
The 22-year-old is having his career-best season at Man City where he has scored 51 goals in all competitions in 47 matches.
Earlier this season, the Norwegian broke the record for most goals scored in a single season of the Premier League (PL) in his debut season.
Haaland, aged 22, bagged his 35th league goal in Manchester City's win over Fulham on April 30, breaking the record of two former English strikers Andy Cole and Alan Shearer, who both scored 34 league goals in 41 and 42 matches while playing for Newcastle United and Blackburn Rovers respectively.
The Norwegian is also set to break another record. In terms of most goal contributions, which includes goals and assists, in a Premier League season, Andy Cole and Alan Shearer have 47 against their name and are at the top of the list.
Haaland currently has 42 goal contributions and has three more matches to break the record of Cole and Shearer.
